Something's cooking
Food is rarely just about the food.
It is sourdough bubbling on the counter, dinner made from whatever happens to be in the refrigerator, recipes worth making again, and the people who somehow always end up gathered in the kitchen.

Let's see what happens
I like making things.
Sometimes I know exactly what I am doing. Sometimes I absolutely do not.
This is where the soap, ribbons, sewing, flowers, experiments, half-baked ideas and occasional happy accidents live.

I believe we belong to one another.
Community is built in a thousand ordinary ways — showing up, noticing, making room, helping when help is needed, and gathering people who might not otherwise find one another.
Things I've been noodling on.
Musings is a collection of things I have been noodling on. Work. Community. Ordinary life. Usually something I've noticed and can't quite stop thinking about.
Things I read. Things people say. Lines I come across that make me stop for a minute and think.
These are the ones worth keeping.
“Attention is the rarest and purest form of generosity.”
- Simone Weil

Come on in.
There is usually something cooking, something being made, something I am thinking about, and someone I would like to have around the table.
This is where I keep a little of all of it.
